The new 2017 Loaded Tan Tien V2 2017 Flex 1 landed in Australia. This new design  features a new engineered wood bottom veneer plus more. The favorite freestyle cruiser and carver, designed with a symmetrical shape, kicks, a mellow flex and a super comfortable & responsive concave.

The Tan Tien blends carve-oriented longboarding with advanced trick riding. A flexible deck, drop-through truck mounts and usable kicks allows the Tan Tien to pack a lot into a relatively small package. The complex contours create a super responsive board that allows for increased confidence when leaning into turns, popping tricks, and powering through slides. An amalgamation of technical design, aesthetics, and premium performance; the Tan Tien manifests the desire to develop new tricks and engage new riding styles. It blends carve oriented longboarding with advanced trick riding.

Lines are fluid. Directions are malleable.

The updated grip design and bottom veneer (Dec. 2016) reference the history of the Tan Tien and its conceptual underpinnings. It’ll also make your home smell of many leather bound books.

  • Foot-locking concave
  • Drop-thru truck mounting
  • Pumpable camber
  • Nose and tail kicks; .

Common questions answered by Loaded
Is the flex pattern the same as the Dervish?
The Tan Tien is generally a stiffer flex than the Dervish. In the Tan Tien video, we are all riding Flex 2's and they are plenty stiff for slides and tricks.

I am thinking of a Flex 1 Tan Tien because I'll be doing hand tricks, is that ok?
A Flex 1 Tan Tien will feel pretty rock solid for anyone around 70kg or less. We made this board extra stiff for hard pounding riders and it makes a good swizzle stick.

What is Loaded's recommended set up?
We recommend 180mm trucks and 70mm wheels on the Tan Tien. 75mm wheels or 150mm trucks are NOT recommended, as you will run the chance of getting wheel bite.
